following conclusion of saved bell, idea came out of focus group saved bell: new class, in addition creating new cast of characters, continue story of original saved bell cast. new show aired in prime time , feature zack, slater, , screech original cast attending fictional california university , living in suite new cast of girls. kelly later joined cast after pilot.


although ratings started out promising, plateaued against competition of full house , rescue 911, 2 well-established, popular shows in prime time. saved bell: college years cancelled after 1 season of nineteen episodes. events of final episode lead directly second saved bell film: saved bell: wedding in las vegas.
