in 2001 warren had population of 138,976 , reported 63 forcible rapes, 191 aggravated assaults , 559 burglaries. 2012 number of rapes had increased 44% 91, aggravated assaults had more doubled 476, had burglaries 999, while population had declined 4,600. city has high violent crime rate of 532 per 100,000 in 2012, 43% higher national average of 371 per 100,000.


since 2000, there have been thirty-five reported murders; 5 in 2001, 3 in 2003, 6 in 2004, 5 in both 2005 , 2006, 7 in 2007, , 4 in 2008.
