fundus observation known ophthalmic , use of fundus cameras. slit lamp, however, direct observation of fundus impossible due refractive power of ocular media. in other words: far point of eye (punctum remotum) distant in front of (myopia) or behind (hyperopia) microscope cannot focused. use of auxiliary optics - lens – makes possible bring far point within focusing range of microscope. various auxiliary lenses in use range in optical properties , practical application.
