vettangudi bird sanctuary, located near tirupattur, attracts number of migratory birds such white ibis, asian openbill stork , night heron, endangered species including painted stork, gray heron, darter, little cormorant, little egret, intermediate egret, cattle egret, common teal, spotbill, pintail , flamingos.
