forty-seven former players of aagpbl reunited in new york celebrate film , real women inspired it. events included trip cooperstown special program @ national baseball hall of fame, reminiscent of film s final scene depicting members of aagpbl , family coming witness honoring of women s professional baseball league. reunion wrapped game of softball held @ alliance bank stadium in nearby syracuse.


former players made appearance @ bosse field in evansville, indiana, on june 6, 2012, many of film s game scenes filmed. bosse field still retains many of racine belles themes movie. event included outdoor screening of film scene-setting display of cars featured in film. in addition bosse field, production used huntingburg, indiana s league stadium, southwestern indiana field older bosse renovated film.
