international project of restoration

the project of restoration of st. john of nepomuk statue initiated architect marek sobola , started in 2016, completed in june 2017. partners, addressed cooperate have either connection st. john of nepomuk or slovakia.

 germany : project carried out under auspices of embassy embassy of federal republic of germany in slovakia.

blessing ceremony

the statue uncovered on new stand on friday 2 june 2017 joachim bleicker, ambassador of federal republic of germany in slovakia emil molko, mayor of divina , marek sobola, author of project. subsequently, blessed mons. tomáš galis, bishop of Žilina. happened more 190 years since restored after being damaged flood. besides bishop, ambassador of germany , head of bishop office, ceremony attended invited partners. uncovering , blessing of statue followed vernissage presenting partners of monument restoration on panels.

on occasion of statue uncovering , blessing, book published, titled story of st. john, statue of st. john of nepomuk in divina (in slovak: príbeh svätojánsky, socha svätého jána nepomuckého v divine), written marek sobola , collective of other authors. book, besides biography of st. john of nepomuk, presents similar monument in surroundings of divina. book comes summary in german, english, bulgarian , khmer languages and, @ vernissage, ceremonially promoted divina soil scatted on it.
