in february 2017, male reporter belonged nhk arrested on alleged sexual attack against woman, , in march fresh arrest warrant related similar crime issued. in response this, nhk said apologised again victims , customers.

nhk ban on employee stock market trading

in 2007, 3 employees of nhk fined , fired insider trading. had profited trading shares based on exclusive nhk knowledge.

on 11 july 2008, nhk introduced ban prohibiting stock trading employees, numbering around 5,700, had access internal news information management system. employees required pledge in writing not trade in stocks, , required gain approval senior staff in order sell shares held. nhk banned short-term stock trading completed in periods of 6 months or less other employees.

the ban did not extend employees families, nor did nhk request reports on transactions.
