in 1993, nbc decided wanted extend saved bell franchise new show, saved bell: new class. set @ bayside, show follow new cast of characters navigate high school years. reprising role original series dennis haskins, once again principal, mr. belding. following cancellation of saved bell: college years in 1994, peter engel asked dustin diamond reprise role samuel screech powers, returning bayside on work-study program mr. belding s administrative assistant.


saved bell: new class ran 7 seasons , 143 episodes, 1993 2000. cast revolving, haskins constant throughout 7 seasons. end of series, show had run out of ideas. show not well-received, , today believe failed recapture charm of original series.
