in november 2002 new line-up of aria announced. sergey popov master became second guitarist, arthur berkut (ex-autograph) invited new vocalist, , drummer max udalov returned band. on 5 december, aria released single coliseum followed album baptism fire. video coliseum shot. release successful, songs coliseum , baptism fire reached no. 1 on rock charts, though many fans criticized it, arguing berkut s voice did not fit aria s music.


berkut , holstinin participated in elven manuscript (Эльфийская Рукопись, 2004) metal opera epidemia. arthur played role of irdis elven wizard while vladimir played lute , produced opera.


in 2005 aria celebrated 20th anniversary new tour. band s former members invited participate in anniversary tour. master , sergey mavrin played @ it, kipelov did not, because of own tour schedule.


the newest album armageddon released cd maximum, came out in 2006, aria invited 2 new lyricists , berkut made début composer.


on 3 april 2008, kipelov , mavrin made brief re-union aria, during tour celebrating 20 year anniversary of release of geroy asfalta.


in november 2010, berkut , kipelov sang on stage aria 25th anniversary of band. concert called ariafest , there events in saint petersburg, moscow , ekaterinburg.


in 2011, berkut announced departure aria. replaced mikhail zhitnyakov, vocalist of heavy metal band grand courage.
