*route 39 leaves lindbergh center , doraville stations, still serves southern part of city.

currently, there plans construction of multi-use trail, known peachtree creek greenway. goal of greenway provide residents close-to-home , close-to-work access bicycle , pedestrian trails, serve transportation , recreation needs, , encourage quality of life , sustainable economic growth. trail connect brookhaven neighboring chamblee.


on june 29, 2017, brookhaven mayor john ernst appointed members peachtree creek steering committee. committee provide critical oversight , guidance path foundation completes engineering studies , prepares final construction documents phase of peachtree creek greenway, according city press release. phase run approximately 1.25 miles north druid hills road briarwood road.


in addition, on july 25, 2017, city council approved new sidewalk , bike ordinance. ordinance mandates sidewalks on new , improved local residential streets in brookhaven. bike lanes required per recommendations in brookhaven’s bicycle, pedestrian, & trail plan , other planning documents.
