zwingenberg lies on western edge of odenwald @ foot of melibokus, @ 517.4 m above sea level bergstraße’s highest mountain. municipal area’s elevation varies between 90 m above sea level in outlying centre of rodau , under 300 m on slope of melibokus. zwingenberg’s highest elevation no 1 single mountain. rather, runs along melibokus’s slope area of auerbach, outlying centre of bensheim. 100-metre marker @ zwingenberg railway station taken standard. in west, zwingenberg abuts hessisches ried, , thereby rhine rift.
