former milan peter witt car carrying two-tone green color scheme used milan in 1930s.
muni operates fleet of peter witt streetcars on line, acquired milan, italy. there 11 of these cars, built in 1928 italian derivative of common streetcar design operated in many cities, although never in san francisco.
most of san francisco s peter witt cars painted in overall orange color scheme carried in milan, although 1 has been repainted original livery of yellow , white black trim, while in two-tone green livery cars carried 1930s 1970s.
