on june 25, 2007, police entered benoit s home in fayetteville, georgia on welfare check after several missed appointments, leading concerns. officers discovered bodies of benoit, wife nancy, , 7-year-old son daniel @ around 2:30 p.m. edt. upon investigating, no additional suspects sought authorities. determined benoit had committed murders. on three-day period, benoit had killed wife , son before hanging himself. wife bound before killing. benoit s son drugged , unconscious before benoit strangled him. benoit committed suicide weight machine.
