japanese distributor victor entertainment released total of 13 dvd compilations of last exile between july 23, 2003, , july 21, 2004. limited version releases available first , eighth volumes included art poster , action figure each. complete seven-disc boxed set released on november 21, 2004. deluxe edition of set included model of tatiana s , alister s red vanship, short fiction on battle of otranto, unpublished articles on series, , illustrations character designer range murata. reprint of 2004 dvd boxed set released victor entertainment along remastered blu-ray boxed set. both boxes recreated updated release, comes reprint of artbook last exile chronicle in 2007 limited edition release.



north american releases

last exile received respectable amount of attention in united states. pioneer entertainment (later geneon entertainment) licensed series in june 2003, 2 months after first episode aired in japan, , released first compilation dvd volume on november 18, 2003. after geneon ceased distribution of licensed titles in 2007, series licensed funimation entertainment, , four-disc boxed set released on may 5, 2009.
