the music video happiness starts @ train station (roma street railway station in brisbane) boy , girl stepping off train. pair leave train, boy turns , tries reach something, girl pulls him back. shown reaching sentient slinky. slinky leaves train, , passes middleton busking in train station. slinky ventures find boy, facing range of challenges along way; these include avoiding fruit falling on , riding skateboard. in middle of music clip, slinky shown making way through music room in powderfinger performing happiness . rests on bar , band finishes playing, while background music continues. powderfinger leaves, slinky picked haug. gets car , places slinky on car s dashboard, falls out window car turns tight corner. lands outside gate of house , picked , brought inside boy.


the video created fifty fifty films, created numerous other powderfinger music videos. directed chris applebaum , produced keeley gould of band apart, editing jeff selis. cameron adams of courier mail reported following music video s release, slinky sales increased dramatically.
