christian annan arrived in hong kong continue football career in 2005. unfortunately, arrived @ time when clubs in first division had finished foreign player signings, , joined eastern, second division club instead.


with 14 goals in 11 matches, including hat trick against tai po, annan gained attention of opponent. when tai po had obtained promotion status after 2005–06 season, signed annan immediately.

although did not have same impact in front of goal when compared time in second division, annan bagged 6 goals in 21 matches , became tai po s top scorer (along defender joel), helping team avoid relegation . performances thrown limelight selection hong kong league xi lunar new year cup 2007. brief appearance in first match against jamaica, annan started next match against australia u-23, fouled in box, gaining penalty team tied match (penalty scored keith gumbs) in injury time.


his contribution on tai po has been further rewarded: selected 2006–07 squad of year in hong kong footballer awards.


in season 2007–2008, annan kept performing , being selected first squad of hong kong league xi lunar new year cup 2008. dropped out of final selection due overload of attacking players. scored 7 goals in season, being named second top league scorer of team along striking partner betine, behind dega.


in 2011–12 season, on 18 september 2011, annan appeared second-half substitute , scored twice against kitchee, tai po still lost game, 4–2.

on 9 june 2013, annan joined kitchee on free transfer along former tai po strike partner alex. on 3 september 2013, annan made debut kitchee in 6–2 victory against sun hei. on 19 october 2013, annan scored first goal kitchee netting winner in 1–0 victory against yokohama fc hong kong.


on 12 july 2017, annan recalled loan spent 2016-17 @ hk pegasus.

on 18 july 2010, annan selected hong kong league selection against birmingham city in hong kong stadium. scored goal in match , mvp of match. after match, rumoured manager of birmingham city alex mcleish interested in signing annan.
