kt first operator in south korea introduce iphone, korean market in november 2009. next generation model sold 1 million units within 4 months of september 2010 launch. kt launched ipad in november 2010.

wi-fi hotspots

as of june 2015, kt owns , operates more 140,000 wi-fi hotspots under name kt olleh wifi zones.

4g lte

kt discontinued 2g coverage in january 2012 in seoul area, , march 2012 in rest of south korea on 1.8 ghz frequency, whichwill reassigned lte network branded olleh lte (올레 엘티이)lte coverage on south korea accomplished june 2012. dual-band lte on 900 mhz available in seoul end of 2012.

giga lte

in june 2015 kt announced has teamed samsung electronics combine wi-fi , lte in gigabit-speed mobile service called giga lte. new network estimated 15 times faster existing lte , 4 times faster tri-band lte-a, fastest wireless network available in korean market.

kt operator provides trs in south korea, merged t-on telecom in september 2012.

smart home

in first half of 2011, kt launched kibot , robot specially developed education , entertainment of children, has value-added features, such more advanced versions of functionalities found on existing video , internet phones. in second half of year, kt plans expand beyond voice services actively pursuing smart home services, centering on rich array of contents.

kt launched mobile tv app, enables customers view live iptv , video on demand on smartphones , tablets.

satellite services

operated koreasat fleet of satellites since 1995. of these satellites have been sold asia broadcast satellite while kt corporation continues provide satellite services.
