at approximately 9:40am on 27 december 2013, car bomb struck chatah s convoy in central district of beirut, lebanon. bombing killed total of 8 people, among them chatah, , injured seventy others. bomb estimated weigh more 50 kilograms , placed inside stolen honda car. attack has been described political assassination of chatah.


the president barack obama , secretary of state john kerry condemned assassination of chatah , described terrorist attack on 27 december.
