in january 2014 afghan ministry of communications , information technology signed agreement eutelsat use of satellite resources enhance deployment of afghanistan s national broadcasting , telecommunications infrastructure international connectivity. afghansat 1 officially launched in may 2014, expected service @ least 7 years in afghanistan. afghan government plans launch afghansat 2 after lease of afghansat 1 ends.
