april 2007 saw purchase of raf saxa vord s domestic site, plus road mid site, military asset management (mam).


saxa vord being redeveloped new tourism venture: britain s first residential natural , cultural heritage activity centre , based on island of unst.


the first phase complete , offers 20 self-catering holiday houses , 16-bedroom bunkhouse, restaurant , bar. 2008 see launch of new hotel, leisure facilities , guided walks/evening talks programme.


as of september 2017, has been reported new radar system installed @ raf saxa vord , rrh re-opened.
