greater lowell tech has numerous athletic teams across 3 seasons , member of commonwealth athletic conference league play. greater lowell competes on division 2 , 3 level miaa tournaments, exceptions being cheerleading (division 1) , girls basketball (division 4). in fall season football (freshman, jv, v), boys , girls soccer (jv & v), boys & girls cross country (jv & v), girls volleyball (freshman, jv, v), cheer (jv & v) , co-ed golf (v) offered. winter sports include boys , girls basketball (freshman, jv, v), wrestling (jv & v), cheer (jv & v), indoor track (v) co-ed swim (jv & v) , ice hockey (co-op nashoba tech). spring season features baseball (freshman, jv, v), softball (freshman, jv, v), boys , girls lacrosse (jv & v), boys , girls track (jv & v), boys volleyball (jv & v) , co-ed tennis (jv & v). school boasts olympic size swimming pool utilized swim meets, , part of physical education curriculum. in terms of past successes, greater lowell football boasts 6 state super bowl championships under former coach dennis murphy along father of greater lowell football, late joe kane. gryphon wrestling has had number of individual north regional , state champions @ division 1 , 2 levels, while both boys , girls basketball programs have captured numerous league , state vocational championships in recent seasons. gryphon track & field has traditionally been 1 of top vocational programs in state, @ 1 point running 4 year undefeated dual meet streak (2010-2014).
